Richards Chili
Ingredients
3 pounds ground beef
1 large onion diced
1 bell pepper diced
2 jalapenos diced (remove seeds and stems, unless you like it hot)
1 large poblano pepper diced (remove seeds and stems)
6 garlic cloves diced
16 oz tomato sauce
4 cups beef broth
1 can beans (any type, unless you don’t want beans)
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Directions
Cook ground beef with onions, peppers, and garlic (do not add seasonings at this point)
Once cooked drain well and return to pot. Add all seasonings except flour and cook for about 3-4 minutes
Add flour and cook until flour is no longer raw.
Add remaining ingredients
Raise heat to just the boiling point
Reduce heat to low, partial cover pot and simmer for at least 2 hours
