There’s a new free art exhibit at Core Art Space starting soon and concluding in two weeks in November 11.  Feel free to read the description and see if it is something that may line up with your tastes.

“Artropism” explores innate ability for art to create positive growth and understanding.  Rochelle Dammel’s abstract use of drips, layers and applying paint encourages exploration of artropism, the idea that we have an innate ability to emotionally react to art in a positive way, resulting in personal growth and the opportunity to greater understand those around us. Dammel’s show thoughtfully encourages self-reflection by seeking answers to questions and searching for emotions spurred by her work.  Can art makes us better human beings? How can we grow as people through our innate reaction to, and interaction with art? Is it possible to achieve personal growth through self-reflection and discussion of what we find compelling, or even odd in art? Artropism is an experience for novices and art collectors alike.
