What Happens When North Carolina Meets Massachusetts? It's A Meetup!!

This is what happens when Oak Island, North Carolina has lunch with Franklin MA. It’s called a meetup!!!! Yup, Tom Bailey and Barbara Todaro had an ActiveRain meetup!!!

No points awarded! No vast array of photos!! Just one photo for each of us taken by a nice lady at the next table who heard the word photo and offered to participate!!

It was a nice meetup at Cracker Barrel in Wrentham MA. Great conversation; and o.k. food!! Actually, Tom had a salad that would have fed a family of 6; and I had 3 eggs stepped on and a side of bacon cooked to one degree before burning!!

I worked out twice at the gym prior to meeting Tom, and one was for training someone. I was starving!

I’ve known Tom on ActiveRain for years and have encouraged him to blog. Did I tell you he has his own photo of us on his phone? Oh yes, he has the photo for a blog post of his own!

I could make a bet out of this one, but I won’t!!

On a very serious note, it was so nice to finally meet Tom Bailey. We’ve already made plans to get together again, on his next visit.

Thanks, darlin' - You'll appreciate this. A few years ago I lost a whole bunch of weight. I was doing so well, and when we met with the oncologist he said, There are two guarantees - you will have cold sensitivity (in spades!) and you will gain weight. You may or may not lose your hair but those two are guaranteed.

Who ever thinks of gaining weight during chemo!?! But they pump you so full of steroids each session and food doesn't taste the same, and I've gained 20 pounds! (He said 25 is normal.) So I guarantee you that is my New Year's goal. He also said the first 10 or 15 should drop right off when I'm done, but good grief, what a pain. And the reason I care is because none of my clothes fit right. But I think of you and wish I could go to the gym but I just don't have the strength. Soon . . . Seasons . . .
