Reasons why homes come off the market
When we search the MLS and see that a property is no longer on the market...we may wonder why.
-Maybe they've changed their minds. Yep, it happens.
-The seller falls back in love with the home and realizes it is not the time to let it go.
-The seller has decided that they would like to keep it in the family...stay longer, rent it, but allow the kids/grandkids to inherit.
-Maybe they are taking an extended vacation.
-Maybe there are personal health or family situations.
-Maybe because it did not sell, and they want to try a new real estate agent.
-Maybe they made some changes to age in place.
-Maybe they need a break from keeping the house in pristine condition 24/7.
-Maybe they feel the season has passed. With an in-ground pool, extensive flowering landscape, tennis court etc...they want to wait till the spring.
-Maybe one owner has bought the other one out.
-Maybe they are not ready to adjust the price to meet the market demands.
-Maybe they were talked into a reverse mortgage.
-Maybe there is a concern with the property, needing a roof, septic, well, or some other major repair.
There are many reasons why a property goes off the market.
Bet you can add a few more.
