Special offer

Sunday at the Ballpark

I went to the Padres vs Mets game today. I figured either way I am a winner. I am from New York

and in the past (1969-1980's) I was a mets fan. I grew up in Brooklyn. But now I have adopted SAn Diego as my home. And so...no matter who won, I  figured I am a winner.

You see, I am a definite Chargers fan, season ticket holder and all. But for baseball I kinda lost interest in it after the late 80's and haven't paid much attention , and  I only go to a few games a year. But today, while I didn't want to root against my mets from the past, I was kinda wanting San Diego to win, and win we did.  So I guess I might as well own up to the new reality, that I am a San Diego fan first and foremost. It took a day at the ball park for me to recognize that I am truly whole hog into San Diego!

Now if only I could get some of my New York family and friends to come on out and see the wonders of San Diego like I do. I don't think you could find a city that has so much to offer within an hour or so of it.

I LOVE San DIEGO!  And this is the place to be!

Living the Hawaii Lifestyle

It's hard to let go of old loyalties.  I've been in Hawaii for 4 years and am still a season ticket holder to the Baltimore Ravens.  Since we don't have pro-football here, I've never let go.  In your case, congrats on going with the flow and enjoying the teams where you live.

Richard: I think it was easier, since I hadn't really kept up with baseball for awhile,

but it still had a special place for me.  But wow, you still are a season ticket holder???? Long  commute. Do you have family still in Baltimore area?

Gerard, I can see how you fell in love with San Diego, it is a beautiful place, with a lot of fun things to do.  In my fantasy world I am living some where near a beach there!  Then reality comes back and I realize that we still have one that is in high school, and we can't afford to move to the beach just yet!

The San Diego Padres

My best team of MLB is The San Diego Padres . This why I always fallow their games especially whenever I have some time. I’m always trying not o miss any of their game and hear about the team’s news. But The San Diego Padres tickets get more pricy especially when there are some hot games. But, if we’re really good fans we should try not to be mean when we’re talking about a favourite teams. It’s not only the Padres tickets that got pricy, but there are other major teams too, so the team needs our support and we should provide as much as we can.
