It is a beautiful snowy morning in Naperville. And there is more snow scheduled for today and tomorrow…

I love snow. It reminds me of so many happy childhood memories. Snow days from school. Sledding with friends. Snowball fights. Snow angels. Shoveling the neighbors driveways for lots of money…

Good memories. Memories that make me feel alive. Youthful. Excited. Joyous...

Yes, traffic will be slower today. But really, what are we all in a hurry for anyway?

When did so many of us grow up and stop remembering what a gift life can be. And a snowy day, yes, even a snowy day in October, is really a gift…

It shows life can be full of surprises. Fun surprises. White and fluffy surprises…

So I encourage you to embrace your inner child. Enjoy the snow. Love the changing of the seasons…

Get out your winter coat and go make a snowball. Throw it at a tree. Lay on the ground and make a snow angel…

Experience this day with your children. Experience it as a child…

Time goes fast. It doesn’t mean we have to all be so grown up. Love life…

And enjoy this beautiful, snowy Wednesday!

I'm with you, Ken. When we moved to Leesburg, VA, it was my first time to be around snow. I was so giddy the first time it started snowing. I was driving back from Tyson's Corner and called everyone I knew to tell them that it was snowing. I'm sure they thought I was nuts1

Hi Ken - I am a native Southern Californian and while we have snow nearby in the mountains, cold weather is not common. I did live in the Washington DC area for a few years back in the 1980s so I grew to appreciate the seasons but glad to live in SoCal. Just sayin'.
