This weekend our area had an intense heat wave with temperatures in the high 90's and humidity that turned the nicest hair into a ball of frizz! I am not a fan of showing listings in intense heat as I feel that the customers are uncomfortable and a bit distracted by the heat...I am wondering how agents in hotter climates that deal with these temperatures on a daily basis help to keep their customers cool and focused!!!
The best advice I can think of is dress appropriately for the weather and bring lots of water. Sometimes people really need to find a house even if it is hot outside. : )
Your post makes me appreciate the temperate climate in my area where almost no one has an air conditioner. We think we're dying if it get in the high 70's. (Slight exageration, but only slight.)
In Texas we would not do business for 50% of the year if we were not willing to go out in high temperatures.
This last week the mercury hovered in the high 90's, I showed more than one home that had the electricity off and no A/C. That is not fun, but part of the job.
Dress appropriately, light and airy fabrics, I wear a lot of skirts and sleeveless dresses that I can throw a jacket over easily. It is NOT fun; and I "resemble" your dilemma, I live in Northern Illinois where the humidity exceeds the heat LOL
