How To Stay In The Loop When You're Out Of The Loop

I am not going to write a separate post on this but for those of you who don't subscribe to my Golf Website or Golf Facebook page,  here is the post I put on my website yesterday.

It's been over 3 months since I had to eliminate golf from my activities due to injury. You can imagine how much of a disappointment this was, since golf is a big part of my life from April through October.

Thankfully, after the initial most painful period of my injury, I was able to stay in the loop with my friends.

I am hoping to be able to start playing again if I go south this winter.

Hi Lottie Kendall
As we age we need to adjust, don't we?

Hi Michael Jacobs
Lemonade is my specialty!  LOL   Your line would have made a better title for this post:
Your post shows how you stay on course even while being sidelined.

Hi Alexandra,
I've made some nice AR friends in Phoenix so, YES, we do have fun even though we haven't done any golfing. Maybe I'll get one or two of them to go out with me this coming winter.  ???

Hi Sheri Sperry - MCNE®
I've thought about doing some course marshalling for free golf but haven't wanted to make the committment yet.  Since I started marshalling for the AVWGA events, they've decided they want one for EVERY event.  Hopefully, it won't be me!

It is hard to give up what we love when pain derails us. Glad you are still able to stay involved in some way. Hopefully you will be able to get back to golfing as

I know you love it.

It is difficult when injury sidelines us.  I've had to lay low from swimming a few times because of it.  However, I have often just gone to the health club to sit in the spa and soak my misery away!

Carol- no matter what our age, it's hard to back away from what we love doing because of an injury or illness. Hang in there.

I have high hopes. At the very least I'll enjoy hanging out with some AR peeps in Arizona.

Hi Sharon Lee
Thanks. It's been a new experience being in the "gallery" instead of on the course playing. I've enjoyed being moral support, though.

Hi Myrl Jeffcoat
The spa sounds like a perfect healthy alternative. Hope you're back to swimming now!

Hi Kathy Streib
Othere than those first couple weeks, at least I've been able to get out and enjoy the outdoors and hanging out with my friends through it all.

Good for you, Carol. You're right, it can be painful, on many levels, to be sidelined for a time. I'm hoping you can play again during your winter travels...in the meantime, I love your Sunflower attitude. D

Hi Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD
I'm not used to being "on the bench".  :-(   But I do think my friends appreciated me tagging along and encouraging them.

Hi Jeff Dowler, CRS
Now that I'm better, my challenge is to figure out how hard to push myself to get back into shape without pushing too hard and slowing down the healing process again.   Life is complicated.
