Wordless Wednesday...Spooky Fruit
It's a day past Halloween but Kathy's post sharing about Buddha's hands AKA goblin fingers, which are a form of citrus fruit sparked my curiousity. From the description it sounds like they are aromatic, but not juicy nor necessarily tasty. I can imagine finding these goblin fingers on a counter (or a Halloween basket) would inspire a scream or two.
Wordless Wednesday...Spooky Fruit
The other day when we were at our local market, Larry pointed this fruit out to me.
It’s commonly called Buddha’s Hand or around Halloween, Goblin’s Fingers as they were in our market.
This fruit is a form of citron and has many different uses. It’s fragrant so you can even leave it out on your counter for a fresh scent.
I’ve not tried one but from what I understand it’s mostly rind and pulp and no juice. It can, however, be candied, used as a zest or used to flavor sugar or salt.
Or if you’re in need of a last-minute Halloween decoration, I’d pick up a few of these!
