Back in 1953, the non-profit Legacy Senior Communities, opened Golden Acres, a home for the aged. Fast forward to the present - now there are more choices. The Legacy at Willow Bend offers buy-in opportunites to own an apartment on the campus, with the certaintity that if you need memory care, skilled nursing/rehab care, or assisted living, there will be a place for you. Coming soon, The Legacy at Midtown Park will provide the same living and health care options but as rentals rather than for purchase.
At The Legacy at Midtown Park (TLMP) there will be:
- 184 independent living apartments
- 51 assisted living apartments
- 36 memory care suites
- 54 skilled nursing suites
And the following amenities:

- wellness and aquatic centers
- indoor heated pool and hot tub
- library
- art studio and hobby rooms
- game and card rooms
- green spaces and dog park

LMTP is located in the heart of North Dallas, east of 75 Central Expressway, near Meadow Road, close to Presbyterian Hospital: 8240 Manderville Lane, Dallas 75231.
There will be a large variety of floor plans, including: studio apartments;1 BR 1 bath; 1 BR 1.5 bath with study; 2 BR 2 bath; 2 BR 2 bath with study; 2 BR 2.5 bath with study; 3 BR 2.5 bath. The sizes will range from 650 (studio) to 2600 square feet (pent house), with an average of 1445 square feet.
A one-time non-refundable community fee of $9,000 (refundable until you move in) will be required. Monthly rents will start at $3,500 for a studio. If that sounds high, remember what you won't be paying for if you are a current home owner: insurance, property taxes, maintenance, lawn care, fitness membership, utilities, HOA dues, housekeeping, security, and more. There is a second person fee per apartment of $1,200 regardless of the size of the apartment.
Construction is underway, but they're not ready to lease apartments yet. If you want to join their Priority Program and get on the list to select your apartment, you can provide them with a $500 refundable deposit. They'll call you before they open up to the general public and they'll invite you to exclusive events just for Priority members. There will also be special construction pricing and other benefits.
