My Final Continuing Education Class of the Year

 

My final continuing education class for the renewal of my Maryland real estate license happened to be a new class offered by the Maryland Real Estate Commission. I took the MREC Principles of Real Estate Brokerage Relationships and Disclosures class taught by Jim Savitz at C.L.A, Title at 9210 Corporate Boulevard, Suite 150, Rockville, Maryland 20850. I always enjoy Jim's classes.

This course provides some good reminders of how complicated the regulations relating to agency and disclosure in Maryland. It made me recall the good old days when the contract process was simpler and easier for consumers to understand.

I am no longer required to take continuing education classes, other than for ethics.  Here in California, if your age combined with the number of years in the business add up to 100, you become exempt.  I have met that requirement.

Hi Roy... our CE year begins each July... I was done (thankfully) in early September when I took my Mandatory CE Update Class for Brokers In Charge, as I had rollover credits from last year. We have so many agents who wait till the last minute in June... I prefer to be done by December of each year.
