Grateful That I Have More Than a Half Full Glass and That I Recognize It.
The other night my brother expressed how lucky our family is. We were all talking about some of the people in our lives who started out their life with a black cloud over them and it has followed them everywhere.
These are good people but haven’t had the breaks in life that you and I may have had.
Which brings me to my second Gratitude Post.
I am beyond grateful for all of the blessings in my life. The road I have traveled and am still on has not been one that I planned. I didn’t become the queen (my dream as a 5-year-old) and it doesn’t look like I’ll become the owner of an NFL team but oh my gosh...my cup is so full and it continues to overflow.
I have my family that continues to grow and friends who make me smile. The children in my life are healthy and growing up surrounded by love. 70 is the new 50 and the Astros almost won!
And now the second part of my title...I am glad that I have the good sense to recognize just how much I have. There have been people I know who have what you and I may think is all anyone could ever want or hope for and yet they complain about everything.
YOU want to do a Gibbs Head Slap on them.
So what am I thankful for? I am thankful for all that I have in my life...not the things but the people and opportunities I’ve had. And I’m very happy that I recognize this!
Remember, if you are criticizing, you are not being grateful. If you are blaming, you are not being grateful. If you are complaining, you are not being grateful. Rhonda Byrne
This is my second entry in Debe Maxwell, CRS NOVEMBER 2019 THANKSGIVING GRATITUDE CHALLENGE. I hope that you’ll share what you’re grateful for!
