Grateful That I Have More Than a Half Full Glass and That I Recognize It.

Grateful That I Have More Than a Half Full Glass and That I Recognize It.

The other night my brother expressed how lucky our family is. We were all talking about some of the people in our lives who started out their life with a thankfulblack cloud over them and it has followed them everywhere.

These are good people but haven’t had the breaks in life that you and I may have had.

Which brings me to my second Gratitude Post.

I am beyond grateful for all of the blessings in my life. The road I have traveled and am still on has not been one that I planned. I didn’t become the queen (my dream as a 5-year-old)  and it doesn’t look like I’ll become the owner of an NFL team but oh my gosh...my cup is so full and it continues to overflow.

I have my family that continues to grow and friends who make me smile. The children in my life are healthy and growing up surrounded by love.  70 is the new 50 and the Astros almost won!

And now the second part of my title...I am glad that I have the good sense to recognize just how much I have. There have been people I know who have what you and I may think is all anyone could ever want or hope for and yet they complain about everything.

YOU want to do a Gibbs Head Slap on them.

So what am I thankful for?  I am thankful for all that I have in my life...not the things but the people and opportunities I’ve had. And I’m very happy that I recognize this!

Remember, if you are criticizing, you are not being grateful. If you are blaming, you are not being grateful. If you are complaining, you are not being grateful. Rhonda Byrne

This is my second entry in Debe Maxwell, CRS  NOVEMBER 2019 THANKSGIVING GRATITUDE CHALLENGE. I hope that you’ll share what you’re grateful for!

I too dub thee Queen Kathy. As for the NFL team, let's keep working on that dream. :)  We don't watch NCIS, but it is my sister and husband and mom's favorite TV show. That's why their (Dick Greenberg) lab is named, "Gibbs."

Kathy you are blessed to recognize how much good you have going in your life and focus on it.  To many concentrate on the negative and miss out on the much more positive things they have going on in their life.

Hi Kathy,
Not only is our glass more than half-full it is refillable, right?  No royal family would want me. I'm too much of a rebel and I'd be the one National Enquirer would be writing about.  LOL

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty omg, if it weren't for the sun it would have been awful. To most of the northerners, it was mild but to someone recently transplanted from Florida, it was downright freezing.

George Souto you're right. It also helps that I do like the simple things in life.

Carol Williams that's too funny. I always thought it would be nice to be the queen so you could go in your jewels room and stare at all of your jewelry.

Very much agree on the point--you recognize what you have ! Some pp take it for granted--I feel especially those that are constantly complaining.

Yes. Yes. Yes!

It is easy to dwell on the negative sometimes...a little reminder to appreciate what we have is always a good thing!
