I'm in a Happy Place

Going through my AARP magazine I came across something I found interesting (actually much to my surprise I find a lot of the AARP magazine interesting). Check out this map of Happy Places.

Live in a happy placeFrankly I don't know what to make of this map. I do know that "political view" seems to be all over the map so that's not the key. It is nice to see though that over all Dakotians, both North and South, are in a pretty happy place. How is your State doing? Could you use this map to draw people to your State to live?

Hmm,

Thank you for sharing this "map of depression"-it is food for thought.

Morning Bob.

Thankfully my State is not on the top of the list.  This is one of those moments I'm happy for it, not to be.

HI Bob... not sure what to make of this map either... I'd be interested in finding out how they gathered data.

Good morning Bob. Must say this is one interesting map. Illinois should be higher with our financial situation, but maybe most have moved! Enjoy your day!

Me too Nina Hollander . I see the sourse is given at the bottom right of the map but I'd never heard of this research group.

Bob "RealMan" Timm well, my husband and I are both well over 65 and no one asked us!

It would be fun to see the entire study Wayne Martin and find out what went into it. North Dakota is a happy State so maybe climate has not part of it. Maybe it's based on the amount of anti-depressants prescribed per capita in the 65 and older group?

Interesting, at first I thought it could be weather related when I saw high numbers for Oregon and Washington, but California is in there too. Weird. I wonder how they determined these stats?

Me too Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD . Being the survey was age related I'm guessing it has a lot to do with cost of living and access to health care, and maybe mobility issues.

Hi Bob,
I also wonder how they gather such information. I wasn't asked.
