Kind Thoughts for World Kindness Day November 13

World Kindness Day is November 13, and who doesn't appreciate a little kindness?

Meditating on God's word in the Bible and on other spiritually powerful quotes helps me adjust my mindset and to be purposefully kinder to folks. Here is a great one from Country Music Songwriting and Singing Legend Dolly Parton:

"You Can Be Rich In Spirit, Kindness, Love

And All Those Things You Can't Put A Dollar Sign On." 

Most of us are looking to get rich, or hope in the future to achieve a high level of finanical stability.

While there is no denying money makes the world go round-and can buy lots of fun stuff-money itself doesn't build a rich or meaningful life for a person. 

Becoming a person who is rich in spirit, kindness and love, is a goal that's achievable by anyone who puts his or her mind to that goal. 

Dollar signs may be an outward symbol of success, but who you are, who you help and what you value follows you wherever you go! 

As the late great Christian motivational speaker Zig Ziglar famously said, "You can get anything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what they want."

Be the light of kindness you want to see in the world today on November 13, World Kindness Day. Anyone can share a smile. Anyone can offer a drink of water. Focus on the kindness that is in your power to do and give to bless someone with kindness today. 

As Jesus taught in Matthew 25:40 "⁴⁰ And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family,^[a] you did it to me.’"
