In addition to some of my other tasks and projects here in the rain, one of them is to make sure the ARVideo Blog keeps rockin and rollin.  Searching the web and all the Video hosting sites for good Video can be a daunting task at times.  I was wondering if you might be interested in helping me out?

I am searching the "World" and our community for more video.  You know the ones I'm talking about right?  Where are they?  Everywhere!  Youtube, Google, Yahoo etc.  When you happen to come across a good video and you feel it's feature worthy, please send me a link.  (If you're not sure, send me a link anyway)

The five Video types and styles I'm looking for are:  Real Estate Stories, Marketing, Technology, Local Features, Educational and of course Other. "Other" meaning open to ideas and suggestions. :-)

Here are the TOP 20 FEATURED VIDEOS from the AR Video Blog since it started back in Feb.  These were selected based on having the most Hits, Clicks, Views and Comments.  They are the ones that Members and Visitors either found interesting or just liked the most.

So sit back, take a look at these
, and then....  (see below)

Brad  - Most all my videos have an element of self promotion.  This one is more neutral.

Love the idea!

William - I felt like I was right there. I didn't actually realize you weren't either till I read your post, you got me on that one. lol~   Keep em coming my friend, even though this one doesn't fall into the "5" categories, (probably other), I really did enjoy it.  Thanks!  :-)

Julie - Now I would never claim that! lol~  These don't have to be your videos, they can be any video you come across that you feel would make a good feature on AR.  Looking forward to some of those ideas you mentioned in your comment, thank!  :-)

3:50pm • #14

Jeannette - I knew I could count on you, thanks!  I bet you'll come up with some awesome stuff to contribute. It's worth a few extra points, and you're paying it forward!  :-))

3:53pm • #15

Brian - I will be checking them all out, and thanks for taking the time to help me out with this. I'm sure you know and understand how long it takes to sift through content to find the good stuff, especially video.  Unlike text posts, you have to watch the whole thing before you can decide if they are any good or not.

Now these are all G or PG rated right?  lol~ :-)))

3:57pm • #16

Mike - there's nothing wrong with a little self promotion, but probably not for the feature board.  You of all people have probably run across some fantastic video clips.  Even the one's you are creating now are very cool.  Just a link is all I ask, thanks Mike.

I'll go watch your video now and add it to the library with the rest of these.

If it gets featured, you'll be provided a link to the post, and notified by email of your points.

It will be up to you to follow that post for comments and replies. Thank Mike.

The points will be worth your time and effort, I'm surprised none of the "point addicts" have piped in here asking about them yet. You know, I can be a very generous man at times....  :-)

4:09pm • #17

Justin - I'm off to check it out, thanks!  FaceBook, that should be a good one.  Keep em coming my friend, I NEED MORE VIDEO!!

You'll be notified of any and all features by email along with a link to the post and the amount of your points rewarded.  Thanks for helping out the community and this old broken down busted up blurry eyed community builder.  :-))

4:14pm • #18

Jeremy - well since you commented, I'm holding you to it. Help me find some great video content and you will be handsomely rewarded!!  Thanks for living up to the Active Jer reputation and expectations.  You're the best my man.  :-)

Terry - thanks for doing that, it will be fun and you'll be helping out me and your community in unmeasurable amounts.  You know what they say here in the rain, "Pay it Forward, and It shall Be Paid Back to you with even greater reward!"  It's true!  :-)

Brad:  For some reason, I keep getting logged out and came in to comment and had to go backwards and log in again!!  I then went to my subscription list (which is generally where I start reading) and couldn't find you--anyway, I'm now an official subscriber and can't believe that I had NEVER hit your subscription button!!!

To the topic at hand--this is getting huge and I would love to be able to do the home tours myself for my clients but, have not gotten the courage to purchase a camera or the equipment as I don't want to make a mistake and have to keep buying UP!  I look forward to seeing these videos, looking for quality and source (what type of camera/equipment are being used)!

Thanks for all you do for us here in the Rain!

This is great you guys, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help.  Some of these have already been selected and are being reviewed for features!!  Keep em coming, yours may be NEXT!

Remember, if you don't have your own video, you can still take the challenge and submit someone else's!!
There may be some good points to be had here.  Thanks for taking the time to contribute to the growth of an already fabulous community!!  :-)

BTW - Your video submissions have helped me to discover some other hidden videos out on the internet archives!  There's some great hidden talents I have found in some of our other AR members.....

Sorry for the e-mail and the post but when I read the invitation to put the link here I couldn't pass it up.

For everyone else, this is a video on our company but it's not your typical commercial.  We wanted to show people the side of Detroit and Detroit real estate that you don't hear on the mainstream media.  We feel it's one of the better real estate videos out there.

Brad,

My first effort at video is here. It is from the Chattanooga Riverbend Festival Fireworks Finale. The quality is poor, and previous practicing with my poor digital camera, taught me to keep the videos to under 3 minutes, so I broke it up. If I record too long the camera shuts off and I lose what was shot.

Anyway, I have order a Vado camera, thanks to your posts and the comments.

The fireworks video is on the bottom. On YouTube I was able to put all the short videos into a video playlist.

When you look it over, please do not laugh too hard or so loud I hear you back here in Chattanooga.

Brian Block - that was phenominal. I'm still laughing the next day. We've got some great contributions going here, don't stop now.  You have a knack for creating these things, you should keep fulfilling your destiny! :-)

9:48pm • #33

Katerina - thanks for adding yours to the list. Your son is adorable. I love how he helps you with your business.  If you create any others or see any other videos that would be good to share with members, please keep me in the back of your mind and forward me a link when you can.  Our Video Library is getting built up nicely, and I'm proud that the community is stepping up to the challenge. Some great stuff ahead for sure. Some of the emails I am getting are awesome too..  Thanks so much!   :-)

9:58pm • #34

Justin - for those who are familiar with FACEBOOK, they'd fall off their chair, I have to think of visitors too, but don't stop sending those bad boys my way.  Is some easy extra points for minimal or no effort.  Keep those videos rolling my way.  Thanks!  (it really is very funny)  :-))

10:01pm • #35

Midori - I liked your "Earth Hour" video... It was different, and seemed like one of those videos that could go "viral" real quick. Thanks for adding them both, they are being considered along with the rest that are coming in.  Don't stop there, send me anything you feel is worthy to show on our community main page.  I really do appreciate al your help and the support that you continue to provide this community. :-))

10:05pm • #36

Debe - hope the logged out thing is fixed by now.  I haven't run into that unless I'm off the computer for a few hours, then it logs me out. Sorry about that, I'm sure it is being fixed if it's not already.

The video stuff is taking off like gang busters!  Lots of emails and links starting to come in but I always need more.  The Video Library needed some upkeep and love so the members are once again pulling through.

If you need help deciding what camera and apps to look into, let me know, happy to help.   :-))

Melissa - send me whatever you do, NO MELISSA VAULT! lol~  I'd love to see your video, or any others that you may stumble across that you feel are good enough for this group.  (You know what I mean right?)  lol~  Thanks for keeping your eyes out for me, I'll be watching for your productions too.  :-)

Brad,

Here is are two videos I posted to a localism blog about the Tennessee Aquarium. They are not mine, but were taken from YouTube. One cute, one interesting.

BTW, I just receive my new Vado. The biggest problem I had was getting the battery cover off. And I thought that I had read that it could take stills, but I have not discovered how, and the brief instructions do not mention that.
