Being happy (or not) is always a choice.
As I was thinking about my third entry into the Gratitude Challenge being co-hosted by Debe Maxwell, CRS and Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland, I remembered the 100 Happy Days series I wrote on ActiveRain in 2016. I went back and read a few of them and am so thankful they were still there in the archives of ActiveRain. They brought back a lot of nice memories and are just another testament to how easy it is to find things to be happy about and grateful for.
Although I joined AR back in 2006, I ended up taking a several year hiatus during my husband's illness and after his passing. I came back in earnest in 2016 when I published 395 posts. Many of the people who I followed (and followed me) in the early years were gone.
So, when I came back I didn't have much of a following and didn't get many comments but I enjoyed writing them anyway. Over time, I've been able to engage and enjoy a fun group of those I enjoy following and who follow me. I am very thankful for that.
It's been fun going through some of my old posts, which always bring a smile to my face. I've made a few changes to my posts since then like adding a quote that applies to each post. I also try to frame most of my photos now which I hope adds a little visual appeal to each post.
Since I didn't have much of a Following back then, maybe I'll reshare a few of my 100 Happy Days posts over the next few weeks. Consider yourself warned! :-)
Have you checked your Archives lately? You may enjoy doing so.
Hi Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD
Always fun to take a trip down Memory Lane via the Archives.

Carol, I have gone back and checked my archive for posts, especially about the ones I wrote on my family. I did enjoy reading them again and printed them out to keep in a folder.
I've only checked the archives once or twice - usually when I can't think of anything to blog about. But I've always found a gem or two that makes me smile.

Hi Carol - Me Again. I was once again reminded of your thoughts expressed here as I read some ActiveRain posts. Those "archives" are so important in chronicling our lives and it's rather amazing the memories that can be "stirred up".

Hi Rebecca Gaujot, Realtor®
That's so great. I'm glad you did that! Have a great weekend.
Hi Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl
We all have gems if we just take the time to take a look back. I enjoy doing it from time to time.
Michael Jacobs, Michael, Michael ... I thought of a new word! Going through the archives is a wonderful:
Pondertunity!
Or have you already coined that one?

I like it!
Hi Carol:
I haven't specifically looked through the archives but have looked back at old posts and in some cases have updated them or used the for inspiration.
I look forward to you sharing your 100 Happy Day posts!
Enjoy your weekend!

I don't always like going back in time to my older posts as I'll want to start updating them, which would be an endless task. But sometimes I'll touch on one or two as needed.

Indeed thank goodness for the archives. My brokerage updated and completely changed our website. This resulted in a new IDX meaning that every link I had in every post I'd ever written was broken.
I had to go back in time and update most of them - took me several months. But without working links, what good were the posts?

I run into so many Agents who claim they lack vision when it comes to Blogging. And at best they would be sporadic. I keep pointing them to the Reblog Tab hoping this will change their “Limiting Belief” about their ability to be consistent !!!

Hi Georgie Hunter R(S) 58089
It is kind of a never-ending task if you start updating, isn't it? It can be fodder for a new, updated, posts too!
Thank you, Tom Bailey . I appreciate you following my ramblings. I'm sure I'll be reposting a few throughout the year.
Oh My, Margaret Goss . That must have been a bit overwhelming in the beginning! Glad you stuck with it and the archives were there to help in the process.
Hi Michael J. Perry
I think the more people blog, the easier it is for them to "see" topics to blog about. I do like having the reblog button. Why spend your time figuring out how to say something when it's already been said so well?
I will look forward to whatever you post, new or old. I know it will be interesting.
