Motivational Monday...Breathe
This past week I watched as a car darted in and out of traffic, tailing too close for comfort to the cars in front of him. And for what?
When we all reached the next light, there he was waiting with all the rest of us for it to turn green.
So he got there seconds ahead?! Big woo.
Most of us have had that bout of impatience, especially in traffic. Growing up driving in Houston traffic you either learn to be patient or live a life full of stress.
It’s not just in traffic that we experience this. We all do our professional best to be on time (or earlier) for an appointment, as we should. But at the end of the day, if there is an accident on the road or a car has broken down, we will get there when we are meant to get there.
The other morning I was in a rush to head out for our morning walk. It had been so cold earlier in the week, we missed our walk. Let’s go!!! Hurry up!!!
Yes...I can be a pain. But, Larry spotted a bird in our backyard we had not seen in our area...a pileated woodpecker...and wanted to stop and watch it.
Slow down...Kathy...I will get to the Preserve to walk when I am meant to get there. And, yes, it will still be there. It’s not going anywhere.
You will get there when you are meant to get there and not one moment sooner...so relax. Breathe. And be patient. Unknown
