I can remember the words ...
"You are nobody in real estate unless you are a member of ActiveRain."
I won a "free" coaching call, oh so many years ago. The coach rapid-fired questions at me. When he asked if I was a member of ActiveRain ... I did not even know what ActiveRain was.
He left me with a laundry list of things to do. Among them, sign up for ActiveRain!
I signed up without even knowing what I was signing up for.
May 26, 2008 is the day I signed up!
In no particular order, I am sharing a few random photos of Meetups.
Someone was just growing her hair out. Gary Frimann, CRS, GRI is rolling his tongue. No matter the number of people we always had fun!
We used to have some large group meetups and always had FUN!
Sporting a wig following Chemo, with a Frozen Right Shoulder
and still enjoying my ActiveRain Friends!
I thought I was going to be meeting with myself
until these two hunks showed up.
I am so grateful to so many including the free coaching call that started it all. I've made so many friends, true friends, and some are local people that I socialize with outside of the AR community and real estate.
One special lady, who I am so blessed to have met through ActiveRain at a meetup is Althea Kippes, Esq. Over the years our acquaintance grew to true friendship. She is truly such a good soul.
I've had so many phone conversations with so many ActiveRain members over the years. I still do! Some marathon phone calls. One such call was with a member who recently passed away. Heartbreaking news.
So many members have passed away and others have just moved on.
It is amazing how we can truly connect with people and never meet them face to face. I've laughed and cried and everything in between.
We are a fun group of people. Reading the Q&A has become a routine. I do not want to miss the comments that make me roll with laughter. The most recent one was a student question about obedience. I'm laughing just typing that word. The comments were hilarious.
I cannot imagine how my business would have evolved if I had not learned about the ActiveRain community. I've learned so much. So. Much.
While I am not as active as I once was, I remain forever grateful for this amazing community. I feel so blessed to know so many incredible real estate professionals many of whom are friends residing across the United States. You know who you are, and you know I love you.
THANK YOU!
