It once again is that time of year when you start thinking about the Christmas Tree. The U.S. Forest Service sells annuals permits are as reasonable as only $10 and most are $20, for those adventurous individuals that want to pick out their very own Christmas Tree. There are designated areas in which the trees must be cut down. In past years, they have said there would be a Christmas tree shortage.
You can pick up your permit in the region you are cutting down the tree. You can either go to a Forest Service office, or go on-line and purchase your permit. Here are the offices you have to contact -

Be prepared when searching for your tree, even though it may be warm in Denver, it will be much colder and a possibility of snow in the mountains. Bring warm clothes, boots, gloves, an ax or saw (no chainsaws allowed) and strapping to tie the tree to the car.
If your family has never cut down a live tree, the kids probably will never forget this experience!
Happy Christmas Tree shopping!
