I’m so grateful for the customers and clients who allow me to stay right here in my warm house, doing what I love doing while still earning a living.
The customers – all those who purchase and use the prospecting letters I write. I’m especially grateful for those who write to tell me of their successes, and those who write to say “Do you have…” or “Could you write…” and give me the topic for a new set of letters.
As for clients – I’m grateful to every person who has trusted me to write their bio, community pages, property descriptions, personal brochures, custom postcards or letters, blog posts, emails, and a variety of miscellaneous web pages.
Extra gratitude goes to those who come back to me over and over again, allowing me to feel like a true part of their marketing teams and to follow their success.
My clients expand my world.
I enjoy getting acquainted with each agent and learning about the lives that led them to a career in real estate. Then I enjoy learning about the particular challenges they face in becoming successful in their own communities. If sometimes our conversations drift away from real estate into families, pets, and other miscellaneous topics – that’s fine with me.
By the time I read the answers to my questionnaire and either visit on the phone or exchange a few emails, I become convinced that “my agent” is the very best choice in their marketplace. The same is true when I write custom prospecting letters focused on one agent’s unique value to the clients he or she serves. I feel proud of them when they win an award or have an especially good year.
My clients educate me.
It is also fun to learn about the real estate market in different parts of the country, and to learn that there’s much more to it than the price of the homes or their average days on the market.
When I was an agent in our small town, I had no idea that the methods of doing business varied so much from one State to another. Now I know, and I keep learning more all the time. For instance, I had no idea until about a week ago that E&O insurance is not required in every state.
I couldn’t ask for a better, more enjoyable career, so I’m grateful to all who make it possible.
