"Truth is stranger than fiction."
Here we are in December again. Are you ready for another fun ActiveRain Challenge?
What could be more challenging and fun than planning for, dealing with, and surviving the holiday season?
Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, GRI, WLS and I thought what better subject to write about for our December Challenge than a transaction that dealt you the most fun, the most challenge OR the one you barely survived to tell about? However it went down, hopefully, you ended up with the gift of a closing check.
We've all had them. We've had the transactions we loved, and the transactions we've struggled with every step of the way and barely survived. Just choose one to tell us about that ended with the gift of a closing check.
BUT... here's the twist... you can tell us a true story, a totally made-up story, or a combination of both. You decide. It will be up to your readers to submit their vote to determine whether they think your story is True or Fake. We've all heard the saying: Truth is stranger than fiction, so be careful when you vote on other entries.
Here are the easy peasy guidelines you must follow to qualify for the 1500 bonus points for your entry:
* 250 words in your post
* At least 1 graphic
* Post a link to your entry into the comments section of this blog post
The Challenge begins on December 1st and ends on December 31st.
Anna Banana and I are co-hosting this challenge so share your craziest transaction with us. We're anxious to hear about it!
Whatever you write about, have fun with it. And, don't forget to read the other entries, make your comments and vote "True" or "Fake."
Got inspired to post a blog.
Hi Sam Shueh great entry! And what a bummer of a story for your very first sale. I got to hand it to you after that you're still going strong after all these years!

That was quite an experience for a first sale. Thanks for entering our December Challenge.
Hi Ed Silva
Those sound like two examples of knowing the right people to get the jobs done! Thanks for the entry into the December Challenge!
Hi Gary Frimann, CRS, GRI
That was a nightmare transaction but you got it done, and put more money in the sellers pocket than the original sale. Good job!

Hi John Juarez your post hit home for me today as I got a phone call yesterday alerting to me that a long time client that bought their dream home about 5 years ago totally lost their home to a fire last Sunday night. Thankfully they all got out safe but it's a total loss and will take a year to re-build. Crazy. Back to your post.....
What crazy twists and turns in your story. Sometimes what we go through almost sounds make up, but it's not. It's what we do - solve our clients problems. And you certainly did just that for these folks. So glad it finally worked out for all of them...........and you! Great entry!!

Just in the knick of time you squeezed in this great entry Bob Crane ! Really good entry and I'm so glad you shared it!
Wow this is quite the story about Dave going 'missing'. Odd that he didn't know enough to check in at the end of the day. And thank goodness it all had a good ending. Could have been way worse. Great training material for sure.
