In the home-buying or home-selling process, build that open and honest relationship with your realtor. First of all, there must be an assumed TRUST underlying in that relationship. Many relationships begin by giving the benefit of the doubt to the other party and so often, realtors must possess the skill of gaining trust very quickly. Once trust has been established, then mutual honesty and openness are required for this relationship to go on.
Often times, many people like to keep their privacy even among close friends. However, if you choose not to share a certain truth from your realtor - especially if it could affect your real estate purchase, it can sometimes be detrimental to the relationship.
If you are a buyer, talk and express yourself as you walk the house with your realtor. Be a constructive critique so that your realtor may better understand your needs, thus serve you better.
If you are a seller, if you are in some financial constraints, do share that with your realtor. There is nothing to be ashamed about.
Thus, rethink your relationship. Build a honest and open relationship and this relationship may last a lifetime........
