As the media reports- the nation's real estate market (as a whole) is down.

Some speculate this market will be down for the next six months to a year, while others believe it's going to take 5 years or more. Others feel we're in the upswing. Some areas are already correcting.

Does that mean that real estate investing is dead?

No... it means this:

• As always, potential investors need to do due diligence.
• One has to weigh the positives and negatives of cash-flow vs. equity.
• Down markets offer a great opportunity to buy low.
• It's best to pinpoint where the greatest opportunities exist.
