It took YEARS before I actually did something "end of year" for my clients. Not sure why, but it did. A few years back, I did a client appreciation party catered at my personal home. I am a firm believer not to mix personal & business, but a few clients do become very good friends. I had some immediate past clients attend, as well as my A+ clients!
There are years that December is really busy with business - as relocation families would come in this month, so it was tough to schedule anything for my clients.
This year I had thought about delivering pies back in October, delivering to all clients that closed in 2019, and again, my top A+ clients. I should have asked Village Inn when I ordered HOW LONG DO THE PIES LAST. When I picked them up Monday, they said --- a couple of days! WHAT????? I was hoping a week anyway! These pies are for Christmas! Many of my clients either will eat them right away, or they froze them. I gave them choices of four flavors - pecan, pumpkin, cherry and no-sugar apple.
Scheduling delivery for 20+ pies all over the Denver metro area was quite the challenge. One of my colleagues had done pies last year, but she had her clients come to Village Inn to pick them up. I have clients ALL OVER the City, and truly wanted to SEE my clients and their homes. Many have done improvements they were excited to share with me that was very sweet!
I would do this again next year, but thinking of doing Costco pies (frozen), and they can bake them when they are ready! It was a hit with my clients!
