If you don't know this little secret website then you are missing out HUGE. www.OPTOUTPRESCREEN.comthis the best website for you and your clients. If you want to stop receiving junk mail from credit card companies and insurance then this is the website for you. Its really simple just click the opt out for 5 years and when your done completing the information you get to print it up for your records. Plus there are two main things to this, after about 5 business days your credit can improve from 5 to 25 points between the three credit scores. I use this on everyone of my clients, no matter what because I want them to get out of debt as quick as possible and this will stop them from getting that junk mail after about 100 days. Its pretty cool.

Has anyone else used this site before?

I have used this before and continue to use it with my clients permission of course. I had a borrowers credit score increase 48 points from doing this. It was a beautiful thing and I was actually able to get her a higher LTV and more cash out so it worked out for the best.

One thing you should know is that it can also drop your clients credit score!!! So be careful when you do this. My advice to you would be don't do this with your clients til after you close the deal unless your in need of a few extra points.

Excellent tip.  I am interested in finding out how it may drop a credit score though.

I agree with Shane

and be careful - remember some of the sites that provide leads to credit card companies also provide leads to realtors and mortgage brokers

how about just sign them up with a credit monitoring company that blocks ALL inquiries until lifted

To answer your question on how the scores drop when you opt them out is when they are in the process of opting out and a late or missed payment hits there credit at the same time it affects there score twice as bad as normal. I don't know why this is but it has happened to several clients that I seen go through this program. Let me know if this info helps.

Thanks for the web site.  I totally forgot about it.  With everyone selling the trigger leads you would really be helping your clients out in long term.
