When you have as many furry ones as we have, you also have a LOT of food for them. A case of cat food's life is measured in days, not weeks or months. For our own ease, we have multiple rolling shelving units in the basement and they're packed full of dog and cat food. They're HEAVY. How heavy I don't know exactly, which proved to be a problem this afternoon.
I went to move one of the carts and one of the supporting casters started to collapse. Not a full collapse, but enough to put a tilt on that corner and a need to be extra wary as we tried to finish moving that cart.
But here's the thing with mechanical items: they're each dependent upon the proper performance of the other elements in the system or the system fails. So the adjacent caster? It also started to collapse. Full stop on the movement and unload the cart. I'll need to find replacement casters that have a higher load rating and replace those on that cart, and the other carts using similar casters.
What does any of this have to do with real estate? Actually quite a lot.
As your agent, I'm also part of a system, and the entire system has to function optimally for you to have the best possible home selling or home buying experience.
I'm supported by my brokerage brand: RE/MAX.
I'm also supported by my brokerage office: RE/MAX Elite.
And that's just for starters.
Also on my team are my preferred mortgage professionals and home inspectors, and if new construction the builder's rep.
Each of these team members have to perform properly to ensure your success.
I could do everything spot on excellent, but if my mortgage pro lets you down, what will you remember?
If the home inspector misses something obvious? You're going to remember that, and you're going to remember WHO recommended that inspector.
If any member of the team fails, it leads to more load on the other team members, and in the worst circumstances, a complete collapse.
So you can bet if I'm providing you a recommendation, I know MY reputation rides on how well that person or company performs.
