Be the ACE of Real Estate Sales

By

Over the radio, I heard the classic Snoopy’s Christmas and the Red Baron." Suddenly visions of the two ACE pilots zooming in and out of the clouds filled my head.

What does it take to be an ACE? For me, I believe an ACE in any role especially for Realtors takes these actions:

A = Assess

C= Clarify

E = Execute

Assess – Not only must you assess your market place, current real estate trends such as millennials, you must also assess the previous years (note I wrote years) as well as your own talents. For example, how consistent are you in achieving personal goals? If this is a barrier, it may be part of the answer why you failed to achieve your professional sales goals. What are your attributes, your talents or your strengths?

Clarify – Now with all the information in hand from your various assessments, time to clarify what is important to you.

  •          Where you had incredible real estate sales success.
  •          What real estate successes filled you with emotional satisfaction?
  •          What successes left you feeling less than satisfactory
  •          Where do you wish to direct your real estate efforts for even more emotional and mental satisfaction?

This is where you commit to your WAY SMART goals.

W = Written

A = Actionable

Y = Yours

S = Specific

M = Measureable

A = Aligned to your purpose, passion, values, vision and mission

R = Realistically set high

T = Target date, time driven

Execute With your WAY SMART goals along with your own strategic action plan, you can with more confidence take action. Part of execution is keeping track of what went well and what didn’t do so well. Now you have returned to assessing the results of your WAY SMART goals and once again clarify so you can execute.

Yes, you can be the ACE of real estate sales provided you are willing to do the work.

And please allow me to leave you with this thought:

Remember, selling is relatively simple

though not necessarily easy.

Hello Leanne - the use of acronyms can be a helpful memory tool - putting them into action/behavior works best for me.  It's a good combination.

So true about putting anything into behaviors. Good morning Michael Jacobs

Good morning Leanne Smith - not just any goal will do.  These are not New Years Resolutions.

Good morning Grant Schneider Unfortunately as you have indirectly implied New Year's Resolutions have been relegated to a less than desirous state. The word resolute is a very strong word however it has been weakened by the behaviors of humans.

You came up with a good blog on ACE and I like to reblog it sometime if that is okay?

Will Hamm  - good morning and of course you may reblog it. Thank you for asking. The acronym ACE is one I created years ago in my executive and sales coaching practice. It helped my clients to stay the course.
