Girl Missing (2014) is a crime thriller update of a novel named Peggy Sue Got Murdered that was published in 1994. The author is The New York Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen, M.D. who lives in a small town in Maine. I enjoyed this fast reading book and recommend it for your reading list. Internationally bestselling author Tess Gerritsen took an unusual route to a writing career. A graduate of Stanford University, Tess went on to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, where she was awarded her M.D.
While on maternity leave from her work as a physician, she began to write fiction. In 1987, her first novel was published.
