"What day is it?" said Piglet.
"Why, it's today," said Pooh, "my very favourite kind of day."
I was given a great little book, that reminds me each day to be mindful, it is filled with quotes about this day, all from very different people, authors, singers, speakers, fictional characters, etc.
Today, I read the one above, first it made me laugh, then I thought about it and realized, today is the only day we have. Something I know and have a quote about on my wall.
Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is the future, Today is the present. Live it!
But it is so easy to get caught up and forget it, worrying about the future, or feeling guilty or upset about something from the past.
We only have today, and we shouldn't waste it worrying or regretting things from the past. You can take action, offer an apology and move on. You can make a plan for the future, but don't waste today or this moment being somewhere else when you really need to be where you are. Because, that is where you are right now. Give your attention to what you are doing, or the people you are with and enjoy them because that is all you have right now.
By the way, I read a book sometinme back the Tao of Pooh, which was very good and worth a read.
