What is Really Behind The Picture?

By

Who doesn’t love looking at houses online? The beautiful photos, the perfect furnishings, and the incredible backyards are inviting—even enchanting—but are those photos really telling the entire story?

Before you fall in love with the ideal Americana 4 bedroom 2.5 bath colonial, keep in mind the reality—the photos aren’t the entire picture. Do you know what’s behind the property line, or next door? That’s where working with an expert in local real estate is essential to finding your dream home and making sure it isn’t located in the midst of a nightmare.

It’s fun and easy to look online as long as the website you are using provides the most current listing information. The best resource? Use a real estate website that has a live connection to the local Multiple Listing Service so it can provide the most up-to-date information on available properties. For more tips for browsing real estate online, check out this article from Houselogic.com.

I’d be happy to provide you with a list of the best websites to use (including my own). Just reply to this email or give me a call at (850) 517-7098 and I’ll send the list right over to you.

For those in the know, the picture in this post is of the iconic Red Bar in Grayton Beach, which is currently rising from the ashes.

Good points and nice photo to illustrate. That one could be a farm inside or who knows what? Jeff

Hi Peter- the homes we live in are not two-dimensional like in the MLS. They are 3 dimensional and more.
