We have been challenged by Endre Barath, Jr. to share changes that we made last year or the year before and how that has helped.
I have been doing seminars at locations like office suites since I started my business in 2009. However, I have found that the delivery of information is becoming much more common online. I have also learned form studies that people are retaining more from online learning maybe because of lack of classroom interruptions.
There are now new tools. It is now almost as if Skype is a thing of the past. The most popular online tools that I have been using are Zoom and Webex. Both of these tool can do video conferencing and online presentation using PowerPoint or the sharing of your screen.
I use Zoom to do mastermind group sessions. You can have a large number of people in an online conference and everyone is in the same conference room on the screen. I find this far superior to teleconferncing where one important sense, visual, is missing.
My next big change is done through Webex and I am doing webinars which are being marketed through a third party training companies such as Train HR. I have created content on a variety of learning topics related to human resources, organizational development, business metrics, and assessment tools. One of my most popular topics is "Using Behavior Based Interviewing to select the right candidate."
This is a snapshot of the promotional piece for my webinar hosted by Train HR. I am paid a commission on their sales. In addition, this helps promote me and my business. I thought this was just another way to get my name out there. However, I am now making real money doing these webinars and this has really opened up new opportunities for my business plan.
Thank you Endre for offering this opportunity to showcase our changes.
