COMING SOON!
You may recall last January in my post, Isn't it time to rebrand the term "Aging"? I introduced you to my former client and now friend, Ramona Oliver, who pursues a passion for positive aging in all areas of her life and is writing a book that reflects that interest.
Ramona asserts that for the first time in history we are not only living longer, but everyone has an important choice to make: Commit to a meaningful, purposeful life of “incline” as we get older or succumb to society’s negative connotation that a new stage – one of steady “decline” – which is inevitable.
Since my blog post last year, Ramona has been busy interviewing “Inclined Elders” to learn about challenges they may be experiencing as they age and their tips and techniques to continue to live a meaningful, purposeful life of “incline.”
She has interviewed over 50 men and women of various ethnicities ranging in age from 40 to 100. Her book captures the stories of many people who have shared their insights. Supported throughout by scientific evidence, INCLINED ELDERS interweaves proven concepts from the fields of Psychology, Anthropology, and Sociology.
The core question this book answers is: What does a life of “incline” look and feel like and how can I best achieve it. The focus is to guide you, the reader, to learn how to shift your mindset from the traditional decline to a more positive incline concept.
I’m thrilled to update all of you and announce that the anticipated publication of INCLINED ELDERS is Spring 2020. You can register at Ramona’s website to learn more about the book and receive advance notice of the publication date.
I've registered on her website and hope you do!

Ramona’s book is a call to action for those of you who opt to live a life of “incline.” Not only for your personal fulfillment, but to help fuel a social “legacy” that increases the number of positive older role models in everyday life. Thus, leaving a “legacy of incline” for future generations.
I, for one, can’t wait to read Ramona’s book: INCLINED ELDERS: How to rebrand aging for self and society.
