Is there any more perfect opportunity for a sitcom than Real Estate. I don't know anyone in this business who does not have many, many stories that would make Seinfeld's show about nothing...... pale to compare.

The listing divorces, the strange property showings and trying to work in multiple languages....when sometimes we can barely handle the one we were given at birth?

How about posting some of your best sitcom banter..... I have my stories....let's hear some of yours...

hahaha - I'm sure there are a ton of stories.        How about the seller that gets so insulted by the 'low ball' offer and counters back at full price......and then.....when he is looking to buy a house for his daughter (now he is the buyer)...and he comes in with a 'low ball offer' that insults that seller..yet he doesn't understand why.   doh!!

Joey,

That's a great idea. I invest in some small films in LA. Getting a script together may not be as hard as you think. Have you put any ideas down on paper yet?

Main Characters:

The crusty old timer remembering the good days

The fresh new blood, clueless but motivated.

The timid nice girl who gets walked all over.

The office shark, out to steal everyone's listing.

The stressed out office manager.

The yoda like processor who referrees the antics.

Then new supporting cast every week with gawd aweful buying/selling stories.

Of course the slick in house loan specialist.

I think you have a fantastic idea. Call me if you'd like to toss some ideas around. I can get some writers to start working on it if you'd like. We'd have to supply them with some transactions and stories for material.

Good Day George.....

Yes, we actually have bounced off a few characters in our office... I am on a short vacation right now.....but when I get back I will get a small list together for you....

I love your ideas .... even back when we use to watch Taxi and Cheers.....we have thought RE is possibly the best fodder for a great sitcom....

each character like each realtor has multiple characteristics as well as strengths and weakenesses that appear depending upon the situation....and most are bloodless and funny to see acted out....

what city or town do you see this being portrayed? I see it in small city america....but it could play almost anywhere.... NY or LA or Miami are always top locations....but what about a second or third tier location?

I'm thinking a small burb outside a major city. I think the inherent outside competition from the big bad wolf could be an underlying threat in the whole storyline.

I think the idea of a new office opening would be cool.
