Best Dessert E.V.E.R.

I will watch the Super Bowl, because I'm an American citizen but I'm a Packers fan and that was brutally bad to watch the 49'ers game. However, I'll take a 14-4 season and getting the championship game every year. Better than being a bottom feeder. This is a super easy recipe and has actually won a dessert contest before.

Here's my recipe. Apple turnovers.

Heat oven to 375

2 Granny smith apples, cut into 8 slices.

2 tubes crescent rolls.

2 sticks of butter melted.

1 1/2 cups of sugar mixed with melted butter.

1 TSP vanilla, mixed with butter and sugar.

1 can Mountain dew.

Cinnamon to taste

Grease a 9x13 pan. Roll the apples up in rolls. Place in pan.

Pour butter sugar mix all over the top. Here's the secret. Pour Mountain dew all inside the pan, slowly. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for 35-45 minutes or golden brown.

Best dessert ever. and the easiest. Make sure to have vanilla ice cream too.

This is missing the cinnamon

Wow, Scott!

That really looks delicious.  I had no idea that one could use Mountain Dew in recipes, I have to admit, I have not tasted the product...A

It's pretty sweet, but a unique flavor. You will likely only use it in this recipe. Enjoy.

Hello Scott - like Alexandra Ron and Alexandra Seigel I was a bit surprised to see Mountain Dew in your recipe.  I have tried it but never thought of it as an ingredient.  Always thought of it as a 7-Up knockoff.  Can't recall the last time I had a soft drink of any kind though this dessert seems to be a hit-in-the-making.

Def not a 7up knockoff. More of a kids drink but perfect for this recipe.

That looks delicious, Scott, even though I'm not an apple fan. I might just try this recipe when I have company.
