I am going to give a heads you a heads-up and shine a light on some dynamics that creep into our lives and are so good at sneaking-in that they manage to stay longer than they should by using stealth. Then, if we don't take action or someone else doesn't comment or point out the "out of placeness" of what they see these dynamics continue to hitch-a-ride
BEAR THIS IN MIND
There is a reason for everything. What that reason is, why, who, what, where, and when plus how remains to be seen. I remark on the downside of these dynamics even though they may have their place in time and circumstances. As a rule, why go there at all? However that's up to the ones that are journeying isn't it....?
COMPLACENCY
Being complacent in the Latin is the act of being very-pleased with ones self but in a smug, egotistical way almost bordering on arrogant. Imagine patting yourself on the back continuously & for trivial-petty matters to the point where you become obnoxious. Over time, a complacent person loses awareness even dumbing-down. In addition to seeing it one also hears in the form of an attitude expressed. Eventually self-defeating
ENABLING
This one works as a trickster for both do-er & do-ee in the guise of helping someone by feeling sorry for them or wanting to make an allowance where none is warranted that leads to weakening & dependency on the one being enabled. This false help ends up hurting all & is a long term robber until the enabler wakes-up! Those that enable project their weakness on the target who responds favorably until reality sets-in
RESIGNATION
Giving up for whatever reason when you know you shouldn't but don't know what else to do is like visiting with a snare or triggering a trap that clamps down on you binding and not letting you go. The power that holds you comes from YOU is the frightening part. Your giving-up is the same as giving yourself over
CONFORMANCE
There is a good conformance that is linked to rule-playing and teamwork no problem there. It is the bad conformance that will substitute itself for your identity and leave you with a void. Imitation may be a form of flattery but not being yourself and wanting to be someone else will haunt you until you stop doing it
GOING ALONG TO GET-ALONG
Surrender of principals, character and any virtuous beliefs are let-go in return for approval, validation or being accepted perhaps out of fear or want. This action assaults the conscience which is screaming stop and is hushed by you and welcomed by the substitute. Having your inner alarm (conscience) never shut-off is disturbing and invites further chaos via complicity (wrong-doing). Let 'get-along'... go on...on its own!
SILENCE (out of place)
When someone chooses to be silent when they shouldn't be makes more noise than if they were boisterous. Haven't you seen someone quiet with that quiet being out of place and inquired whats wrong? They are living within themselves and keeping others at bay while they are confined in their silence. Absence of risk, growth and development increase & run rampant. Silence out of line is a form of self-control.
JUDGMENT
There are times when what we see is clear, precise and revealed and we do well to honor that revelation and not ignore the call to reality. This is warranted judgment. Secret or unfounded thoughts, accusations or slights have a way of biting the hand that bears it then the target acquired. Ruthless & unyielding once it gets started, misdirected-judgment wrecks havoc! Worse, it makes a U-turn at some point and heads to you!
HUMAN NATURE
There is no cure for prevention of these intruders except one. First, if you are lucky enough to understand this all by observing these things in others you may be fortunate to not have to learn them from experience. However, that is rare for these dark forces and instead, our next line of defense is to identify and then cut-off their sustenance when they are sighted or pointed out to us by not using or supporting them. Once you prevail, help the other guy if you can
