If you have a carpet, then learning how to clean any type of wax out of it can be helpful. Candles add flare to table setups and décor, however, they can also ruin your carpet. While the most common method used to remove wax from carpet involves using an iron, it’s also important to learn how to remove wax from carpet without an iron.

How to Remove Wax from Carpet Without an Iron - Steps to Remove Dried Wax
If you know how to clean carpet, then you know removing stains is an important step. In this article, we will help you to know how to remove wax stains from your carpet. You can try this method on small to moderate stains. When the stain is more, you can consider heat treatment.

How to Remove Wax Stain By Using Ice Cubes
For this wax stain removal method, you will need some household items that include ice cubes, a dull knife, vacuum cleaner, two clothes, a plastic bag, and rubbing alcohol or a carpet cleaning detergent. Get all these ingredients ready and then you can try the following steps to remove the wax stain from your carpet.

Step One
Similar to removing gum, put the plastic bag on the stain and cover it with ice cubes. Here ice will replace the iron. You can simply fill the plastic bag with ice cubes and then use the bag to cover the wax stain. While doing so, make sure that the ice is not leaking from the bag.

Step Two
If you want, you can press the bag on the stain. If you press ice cubes, the cold will start hardening the stain and the bag will protect your carpet from getting wet. Your intention should be to harden the stain without making it wet.

Step Three
This is the time to scrape the wax. When you find the stain is hardening, you will need the dull knife to scrape off the wax from your carpet. You can follow this step when the spot or stain is hard. If you use the knife when the stain is soft, you will not get the optimal result.

Step Four
Now you can remove the wax off. You will have to do it very carefully and gently. If you put pressure, you might damage your carpet fibers. Use your knife to remove all the possible wax without putting more pressure.

Step Five
After removing the wax, you can use your vacuum to clean the remaining wax chunks. Once this is done, you can use a carpet cleaning solution. If you find any remaining stain after removing the wax, you can use a cloth to dab the spot. Moisten the cloth by using the rubbing alcohol and then use it to blot the stain. Repeat it to remove all the stain and then air dry the area.

Final Words
Now you know how to remove wax from carpet without an iron. The process is easy as well as effective. It will not take much time and effort. But when the stain is more and hard to remove, you can either consider the hot iron treatment or hire a professional to completely remove the wax stain. Keep in mind the type of carpet you have in your home when tackling any type of stain.
