Sometimes we think we found the perfect house for the client. It has all the checkmarks. When we preview it we like it. We bring our client in and they sorta like it. They can't put the figure on it but it is not the one. I have to keep telling myself they have to live in it not me. Maybe it is like dating.
sometimes I think that's just not a serious buyer when that happens.

Sometimes they focus on the superficial things like paint and staging furniture but overlook the unusable floor plan or 20 year old roof.
Not much you can do. As you said; “They have to live there.”

Hello Debbie - it's not you, it's them... Yes, real estate has some comparisons to dating. I suggest avoiding frogs in either situation.

Good morning, Debbie Holmes and this reminds me of buyers who say they want certain requirements, and the final home they fall in love with is totally opposite of what they had the agent searching for.... try showing them something totally different...you'll probably have a deal.

Hi Debbie... I can't tell you how often over the course of 26 years in this business I've had people buy homes that didn't check off much on their list of must-haves... but those homes spoke to them and that's what matters. I tell clients finding the right home is often like falling in love... hard to define but you know it when it happens.

Good morning Debbie. I think the analogy is right on the money. Good luck.
