Have A Heart Medical Fund: Humane Society of Charlotte
Have a Heart this Valentine's Day and give generously to the animals at the Humane Society of Charlotte who need some extra TLC.
The Charlotte Humane Society's Have A Heart Medical Fund provides care for animals the shelter takes in that have pre-existing medical conditions requiring extra medical attention. These include: heart worm disease treatment, special surgeries, expensive medications, tests and maintenance therapies.
The costs associated with many of these special medical services are not recuperated through the normal adoption fees, which are quite low as I personally know. Donations to the Have A Heart Medical Fund help the Humane Society of Charlotte save more of the animals who enter the shelter doors in search of a new loving, fur-ever home.
So this Valentine's Day... please HAVE A HEART!
And Please Remember: Adopt Don't Shop!
February is heart health month for us humans. Did you know:
Petting a dog or cat can reduce blood pressure response to stress by 50% in people taking medication for hypertension?
Cat owners are 28% less likely to die of a heart attack and other cardiovascular diseases than people who have never had a pet cat?
So why not do your own heart some good this Valentine's Day and adopt a dog or cat? The Humane Society of Charlotte is a purr-fect place to find your fur-ever companion.
