I think the ladies are FAB!!  Adn now we know what it takes to be featured - well, in our group of SIF at any rate!!

  • Great content
  • Well presented

That's all.  They don't pay attention to anything else.  Not even the resource box.  So... that's next people, we all need to start doing that!

Juliet - You did an excellent job moderating and made it so much fun!  Thanks for doing this and allowing us to share with everyone why we do what we do.    Hope it clears up many questions that some of our members have had...if not, maybe we will do it again!  :)

Thanks so much Ladies - very interesting.

Now, Juliet, tell me about your show!  How often do you do it and where can I listen?  Very cool!

Juliet, how very interesting and informative.  This is something that I'm sure we've all wondered about for quite some time.  Kim, Yvonne and Kate, I can't imagine how much time and energy this takes and it is great that you are willing to offer such a contribution as a volunteer.  Thanks for all that you do!

Juliet, Thank you for letting us in on the fun! It was a blast and that is because you made it easy. My message to those you may contact to be a part of your show is -- DO IT! Juliet is a pro and she makes you feel so at ease it feels like you are in your own living room talking to her. Oh yeah, I felt like I was in my living room because that is where I was. :) Kidding aside Juliet, you simply rock.

I would also welcome questions from those who listened and still want to know more about why we delete or why we give that tiny little star. I think both Kim and I forgot to mention (and you neglected to ask) how much the bribes must be to get us to give a pass. JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!

Here here.  A BIG THANK YOU to the moderators for giving of your time.  It isn't that you have more than we do, it's just that you are generous with your time.  And for that we all benefit.  Thanks for the even keel you keep us on and the choices you make that shouldn't be challenged until you walk a mile in our shoes...right?  No need to answer we all thank you for your wisdom and caring and diligence.  We know it is someone who cares about the industry that is watching out for us all.  And you have both proven that time and again in your own posts and features.

Thanks, Amy, I don't have a regular time slot for the show.  I really love doing the process.  I would like to do them during the day, (people can always catch the replay), but the real fun comes with chaos - that is to say, when there are people in the chat room typing questions and "conversating" while myself and the guests are trying to "conversate" on the topic.  The best time appears to be 7  - 9 EST and that's when all the classes I want to listen to are, so I'm not sure what I'll do.

There are some very cool folks I've met this year, and who I think we would all benefit from talking to.  One of them is Sid Davis, who wrote the book "Home Makevoers That Sell'.  His chapter on cleaning is about as comprehensive on the top as anything I've ever come across and I think we could all use the info.

Then, there's Michelle MacPherson and Alejandro Reyes who talk about Social Media Marketing and they're both rather amusing.  Their language is what our teens speak, so just for that it's interesting (and encouraging) to see that people who speak as if they never attended an english class can still make money!  For example, when was the last time you were "totally stoked about some awesome conversating?" (CONVERSING, people!!!)

I met Jeannette Fisher in March.  She was ruder than rude, dismissive and condescending, shockingly so... her book is easy to dismiss as total codswallop -'Design Psychology for Redesign and Home Staging' - ...she actually said to me "Feng Shui is superstition; I design with science.  Science that I've studied at Harvard."   Yet, when I stopped being outraged and annoyed, I found a) that I had already bought her book years ago and not yet read it, and b) lots of good things in it.  Nothing new, but good ways of phrasing things.  My guess is that my sensory marketing concepts and Designing for the Seasons grid was as much inspired by the alleged "science" she has written as anything else.  She'd likely make a fascinating interviewee, what do you all think?

Who do you want to talk to?

It's as simple as that, I think.  The more people who listen, and interact, the more access we get to people looking for exposure.  Remember the silent but golden rule of today's publishing -

you don't make money from publishing your book, you make money talking about your book.

Juliet my dear, you, Kimberly and Yvonne were great fun to listen to and afterwards the thought kept floating to the top of my little brain, that you are all very real and down to earth people, working very hard at making SIF work for us all.  What's next Juliet?

Hi Juliet, unfortunately I only had time last night to listen to about the first 20 minutes of the replay but I really enjoyed what I've heard so far.  I plan on listening to the rest this evening over a glass of wine er, iced tea. :-)

I thouroughly enjoyed your radio show and interview.. THANK YOU TO ALL THE MODERATORS AND THE WONDERFUL JOB THEY DO !!!!!!!!!  God bless,

Juliet- This was a brilliant idea in the first place, but the three of you did such an excellent job, that this really should be the end-all to the recent discussions here on SIF. I can't say enough what a fantastic job Kimberly, Yvonne and Kate do in moderating this group. I hope if nothing else comes out of this, that members will say "if I want to be featured, I have to write a better blog"! Last week I volunteered to do the Week-in-Review and got a little taste of what they do every week, and I can tell you that if you take it seriously, like these three do, it takes a lot of time and consideration and professional objectivity. Juliet--thanks for putting this together. It was very enjoyable!

I finished listening to the replay last night.  I always assumed that being a moderator was a lot of work, but I didn't realize quite how much time per day it takes.  Thanks to Yvonne, Kim and Kate for doing this for all of us.  Juliet - great job hosting the interview!

To All Involved, thank you.  I so enjoyed hearing about behind the scenes and for the provocative, excellent questions.  Very enlightening.  Well done!

I wanted to thank all of you who took the time to listen to the interview and find out exactly what it is we do and why.  It's good to know that those involved in SIF care enough to come to a better understanding of what moderating entails.

I also wanted to point out that I was wrong on the dates concerning my status as moderator and the roundtables.  That was NOVEMBER, not June.  I had confused that with the AR birthday party that I attended -and Craig as well -in June of last year. All of those types of events run together for me...  Sorry for the inaccuracy.  Now I can breather easier... ;)

Thanks to each of the moderators for the time you put into SIF and for helpming make SIF so great!

Juliet ~ Finally!  I had a chance to listen to the whole broadcast.  I had to laugh (with you and the music in the beginning) and it was made funnier by the fact that you laughed at yourself.  I found that you were asking all the questions I would have asked.  It was great to hear the voices to go with the pictures of Yvonne and Kimberly.  Thanks for initiating this Juliet!

I can't believe they read every single post!  That alone is a daunting task; and then to figure out which posts to feature - well, I don't know how they get anything else done in a day!  I really appreciate the time Kimberly and Yvonne and Kate put into moderating SIF.  Keep up the good work ladies!

Sorry, I had to jump back in. Everyone has been so kind and said such nice things and I just wanted to let you know that we really appreciate all of you!

Kathy, I don't read all the posts during the weeks I'm not moderating. One way to be able to read all the posts is to not read the comments. That is sad but true. The other thing is, you may notice that neither Kim nor I get as much time to comment during the weeks we are moderating.

Also, I have to agree with all of you that Juliet is simply wonderful at hosting the program.
