Sacramento County experienced a -41.9% decrease in number of homes listed FOR SALE in January 2020 vs. the same month a year ago. For the same period there was a 0,7% increase in the percentage of homes SOLD. Pending sales increased 9.5%.
Interest rates continue to remain reasonably low. It's a GREAT time to buy for those who are finding suitable homes.
Thank you for keeping us posted and up to date. Have a great rest of the weekend!

Good morning, Myrl.. an almost 42% decrease in listings is huge and clearly impacting closed and pending sales. Afterall, you can't sell what you don't have.

That is actually pretty cool, even though the inventory is way down, sales are still the same. I would think that makes sellers have to make sure their homes are in tip-top shape before going onto the market, as it should be.

As other noted here, the 41.9% is a big number. Any ideas as to why? cheers cvc
The market seems to be busy and a shortage of inventory in many places. Great Post!
Hi Myrl, the drastic decline in available inventory can be tough to work with in Sacramento. Best of luck!
Myrl Jeffcoat, my first reaction to your report is to feel, WHOA!! I would be interested in your insight to this large drop in inventory in the Sacramento area. I do know that there has been a decrease in inventory across our nation.
Wishing for you a great day, my friend.
