Rethinking The Circular File
Rethinking The Circular File The term circular file is likely known to you as a euphemism for the destination for waste or garbage where no longer useful items tend to be placed. I am thinking about the circular file in some other ways.
Maybe it's that part of our brain that stores "stuff" in a holding tank of sorts. I have been thinking of the circular file not as a place for garbage but as a place we can safely store items until a later date. A timed release capsule of information of sorts.
That happened to me last June(06.09.19 in fact) as I read a post by James Dray. If you don't follow James on ActiveRain, I suggest you do because you can find a short biography of some interesting people from history. Inventors and Discoverers. Various firsts in history. All sorts of backgrounds in all kinds of fields. And usually, there is some information just beyond the story.
Well, back in June of last year, I recognized the name in his post title as the great-grandfather of a friend and client. I happened to initially meet this friend right after I received my real estate license and over the years learned some of the family history that James shared in his post.
Here is that post: Alfred Beck
Over the years, I have represented him in the purchase and sale of real estate as well as assisting his parents as the listing agent for various transactions.
You never know what you may find when you regularly travel through the blog roll of ActiveRain. It's all about connections.
February is quickly coming to a close(yes, 2020 is nearly three months old) and thanks to Richie Alan Naggar I have been reminded of many posts that have had an influences on me for one reason or another. Although, I have already shared a post this month, you still have the opportunity to participate in Boost-A-Post sponsored by Richie.
