Certainly top reasons for moving, Sheila and Larry, and a great list. However when buyers ask me why sellers are moving I politely tell them it's not of their business and I certainly don't want to compromise my negotiating position by disclosing that information to a buyer's agent when it's my listing.

Hello Sheila and Larry - prospective home buyers ask lots of questions.  And the answers can definitely vary and sometimes may go unanswered or not understood.  It's good for sellers to be prepared if/when this or other questions are raised.

Good morning, Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 as listing agents, we need to be very careful with the answer..... I answer with permission from the seller and that's discussed at the time of the listing contract being signed..... if it's for financial reasons, a very general response is given.....

Larry and Sheila,

Those are all good answers, and some are not of anyone's business.  When it comes to financial reasons, those are best kept under wraps in our opinion.  A

Buyers always seem to want to know why the sellers are moving and sometimes the reason will actually play a part in negotiating, so it is indeed important to know at times.

Kat, It gives buyers some kind of reference if they need to know.

Michael, Yes buyers ask all sorts of questions, and we know some cannot be answered.

Barbara, Absolutely we have to be careful before answering these questions, especially if we are working for the sellers.

Alexandra, It really has no bearing to the buyers to ask some questions.  If they like the home/condo...make an offer!

Roy, We enjoy working with both buyer and seller clients on Long Island!

Brian, But if we are working for the sellers, we need to be careful on the answer.
