Central Jersey MLS switches to the RapattoniMLS System

This Tuesday, one of the MLS's that we belong to switched platforms.  For about 10 years, the Central Jersey MLS was using Matrix.  We liked Matrix.  It was relatively easy to use, had lots of customizable features and it worked well from a cell phone as well as a computer.

Being that CJMLS is not our Primary MLS (Garden State MLS is the one we use most often) I wasn't looking forward to having to learn a new system from scratch.  The Central Jersey Board scheduled training starting on Tuesday and I was there at for the first class Tuesday Morning, along with about 300 other agents.

The training was held in the main ballroom at the Pines Manor in Edison.  The room was set up with three screens displaying what was on the trainer's computer. This setup worked really well for the setup in the ballroom.

Fortunately, we found out that ALL the data from Matrix including listings and contacts were automatically pulled over to Rapattoni with usernames and passwords.  That was a huge relief!

As it turns out the main screen is completely customizable and can show a daily hot sheet, saved searches, recent searches, client portal activity, and much more! There are not many layout choices, but it's easy to navigate.

Searching is very easy to do, you enter your criteria and it shows how many listings match your search.  You can save the search criteria or results at any time for later access. Searches can be viewed as lists (with or without thumbnails), detail views or map views.  Selecting listings through any view gives you the option to get driving directions through Google Maps and will even send directions to your phone!

One of my favorite features in the new system is that it allows us to include as many as 99 images per listing! A huge improvement over any of the MLS's that we use. Each member also has their own IDX page that can be shared with the public so that they can search the MLS.  IF a buyer were to click on a property through the IDX search and request more info, I will get an email (or text) letting me know that they're interested in the property. We have already added the link to our homepage as the IDX search on our website only searches the Garden State MLS.

The system links to Remine for tax data and it also provides detailed neighborhood reports that can easily be share with buyers.

We still have a LOT to learn about using this system, but each time I log in, I learn a new feature!  Looking forward to using it more and more!

Wayne & Jean, we still have Matrix here, and our Association uses Rappatoni.  Good luck!

You should have joined Bright MLS . It would have made it easier for Bucks Co agents to show your inventory.

Good morning, Wayne and Jean... we are a Matrix MLS... but this Rappatoni system sounds interesting especially the personalized IDX page.
