What is Market Square Day? Well, it's a great celebration of the heart of what Portsmouth is all about - fun, good times, friends, and great spirit. It's day to enjoy great food, fun music of all kinds, shopping, seeing old friends and making new ones, all in the very heart of our great Port City of Portsmouth.

The 2008 Market Square Day Calendar of Events for Entertainment Schedule is just full of awesome music and great bands in several places around the downtown area. You'll find over 100 vendor booths that will range from crafts to clothing to jewelry to face-painting to all kinds of food booths, and everything in between.

Come for some great heart of Portsmouth fun - you'll be glad you did! Last year's Market Square Day was great fun, despite the rainy weather!

And don't forget to stop by the yard sale on your way into town - lots of great finds for everyone!

Ann, When I first got started in the business I used to go yard sales and pick up stuff then turn around and sell them on E-bay. They are fun way to spend a day

Brings back memories. I miss Portsmouth. I worked there a while and lived on Seabrook Beach.

Hi Matt - one of my dreams to just shop yard sales, flea markets, etc. and find all kinds of fabulous goodies and then sell them on eBay. I LOVE garage and yard sales, and have found some really great things over time.

Ann - Market Square day sounds like a great event - too bad I'm booked all day or I'd show up.

I yard sale every weekend, I'll probably be there! Weather is supposed to be awesome!

Ann when I read the "Honey Stop The Car!! Break For Yard Sale Ahead!!" I had to laugh because I have some friends that would be soooooooooo very true of.

Ann.... my mom was always into the yard sales... always getting great deals. But this sounds interesting, with the other events taking place. Hope you have some great weather.
