Word Full Wednesday: Windows In Beverly Hills!

By

Very little caught our attention this morning as we meandered the street of Beverly Hills, mainly Rodeo Drive.  We liked the one pictured above at Hermes because of the bright color arrangement.   Our guess is that they are trying to appeal to those who want ultra expensive street wear, like the sneakers pictured above for $1025.

From a marketing standpoint, we have no idea what they were trying to communicate at first glance.  We have always felt that if you don't understand it at first glance, it did not pass muster.  This second window (pictured above) is selling wooden bowls...starting at $1250- $7,000.  Neither display would have us opening the door!

Good afternoon Ron and Alexandra Seigel - it is eye catching but to your point you don't want to be guessing.

Hello Alexandra and Ron - there is no denying the importance of a first glance, is there?  Hmm...a second look???  I guess it truly "depends".

Good afternoon Alexandra. I don't think I would be opening the door either.

Hi Ron and Alexandra- from an artistic standpoint, I like it. But it seems that whatever they're trying to sell or market has taken a back seat.

That board in the top photo reminds me of something Sean owns. Other than that, I'll pass. ;)

Morning again Alexandra.

My last pair of sneakers cost me around 60.00 While I never like to say never, it will be a cold day you know here, before I'll pay that price for a pair of shoes.

How funny, Alexandra... I was just thinking this morning that I hadn't seen one of your "windows in Beverly Hills" posts in a while. These might not make one open the door to the store, but they will at the least make one stop and look.
