As the real estate market continues to go through its gyrations, finding the right property requires going back to the basics - location, price and amenities. I advise homebuyers to identify the neighborhood that they like and then we can focus on the home that best suits them. The neighborhood will have the amenities that suit their lifestyles while the search for the home will be dictated by availability, price and location.
Established neighborhoods like the Gold Coast, Streeterville, River North, Old Town, Lincoln Park and Lakeview will continue to have the draw of buyers because of their amenities while up and coming neighborhoods will experience a slowdown due to a lack of services and/or amenities.
Stick to the basics and your real estate choice will flourish!
