I just got introduced to Active Rain through a networking class that I am enrolled in through my company, Century 21 New Millennium.
So, it makes me curious how/if anyone has found this website helpful? Are most of you using this blog to reach out to Buyers/Sellers? To network with other Realtors? or To expand your referral network? or To simply be able to express yourself to others that can relate?

You are full of questions. I am active in The Rain for two reasons.
1. I have found Active Rain to be a support group for my career goals. When I was with my previous company, I didn't have anyone in my office with similar goals. By participating in The Rain, my goals and career vision have been encouraged and enhanced.
2. I'm using my blog to connect with buyers, sellers, lenders and real estate professionals like you. I would like for 80% of my business to come from the Internet and referrals from my Sphere of Influence and fellow Active Rain members.

Here's a belated welcome to The Rain! In response to your questions.............
1. Have I found this website helpful?
That is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Amongst other things, this website has helped me to conduct research on other real estate markets, real estate professionals and those companies that want to get in my pocket with their products and services (ie. "SCRUBBED" LEAD COMPANIES).
2. Am I using this blog to reach out to Buyers/Sellers?
Absolutely. With any marketing project, it takes a few months to establish your web presence. Since this has been established with the help of ActiveRain, I have to make my blog more "sticky". Look for several success stories from me in 2009.
3. ActiveRain = Networking! My networking efforts on ActiveRain have been very effective! I have received referrals from this community in a very short period of time. Hopefully, if you have need of a Broker and Certified Residential Specialist in Columbia SC, you would consider my services.
4. I really haven't had much need to express myself. However, others have used this community as a platform to communicate their ideals and philosophies. You should feel free to do the same.
I have subscribed to your blog. Hence, I'm looking forward to your contributions to The Rain.
