Just a reminder - this blog is for Top Producer related discussion

By
Real Estate Technology with RE-ACT, LLC

Having inherited this group from Christina Ethridge, it has fallen to me to basically do one thing - keep everyone on topic. Please remember the description of the group when posting. "Created for Top Producer 7i & 8i users. A place were we can teach, learn and implement the features of TP7i 8i to enhance our businesses."I just deleted a few posts only because they were not relevent to the intended purpose of this group. Continuing to stay on topic will insure that when you want to read about TP related issues, you can do it here, without having to wade through unrelated topics. Thanks!

HI Gary,

I noticed that you deleted one of my messages.  It was title the Bay area Market but there was conversation about how well Top Producer Websites and Top Producer 8i has helped increase our business.  That is the only reason that I posted to this group.  I felt it would be benificial for people to know that the product is dynamic and effective.

Thanks

Pamela

Pamela - It doesn't sound like one I deleted on purpose. One agent had posted a good many times about his listings, and I deleted all of them. I apparently deleted one of yours by mistake. My apologies.

Hi Gary

Thanks for helping. What do you suggest I do prior to converting to 8i?

I have to admit I like features in both 7i and 8i.. although 7i is MORE user FRIENDLY

We like 7i and wish that TP had improved that format rather than going to 8i which does not meet our needs. For many years, we have promoted 7i to other agents asking for advice.  Now, we are no longer comfortable in making that recommendation. We keep hoping the 8i will be changed to be more user friendly.

I've used Top Producer since it was in DOS... before Bill Gates even dreamed of inventing Windows.  I mastered it with 7i, using all of its features.  Then 8i came along and I HATE it, to express my opinion as politely as possible.  I echo roy kelley...it is no longer something I can recommend to other agents.  If TP wants to display data differently, fine, but developers should go back and take a look at the functions in 7i and try to make 8i just as user-friendly.

Gary, I don't understand why people post on topics that have nothing to do with TP. Since I never used earlier versions, I think 8i is great! Sharon

Frank & Sharon. I don't get in here as often as I should to police it. I just deleted a number of posts that were not related to TP or how to use your CRM better. I also stopped 5 people from being able to post who had been abusing it. Hope that helps!
