Hi Everyone! A few months ago I heard a song that has sort of stayed
with me. As our Michael Jacobs would say, 'I have pondered...' The artist
is country singer, Tim McGraw. The lyrics were written by Lori McKenna;
the title, 'Humble and Kind.' Well it's Sunday and this simple song has a
meaningful message which I stopped to hear. I checked on some quotes.
Have a beautiful Sunday. ~ Jane

'ALWAYS BE HUMBLE and KIND'
"A great man is always willing to be little." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Every person that you meet knows something you don't, learn from them."
~H. Jackson Brown Jr.
"We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility."
~Rabindranath Tagore
"The biggest challenge after success is shutting up about it."
~Criss Jami
"Perfection is impossible without humility. Why should I strive for
perfection, if I am already good enough.?" Leo Tolstoy
"Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up."
~Jesse Jackson
"Hold the door, say please and thank you.
Don't steal, don't cheat, and don't lie -
I know you got mountains to climb
But always stay Humble and Kind... " ~Lori McKenna, *(lyrics)
"Don't expect a free ride from no one,
Don't hold a grudge or a chip and here's why -
Bitterness keeps you from flyin,
Always stay Humble and Kind,,, " ~Lori McKenna, *(lyrics)
"Don't take for granted the love this life gives you,
When you get where you're going, don't forget turn back around,
Help the next one in line -
Always be Humble and Kind." ~Tim McGraw, Lori McKenna

Hello Jane and can never go wrong with something from Zig. Make it a great day.
Hello Jane - thank you for the mention. And there is always time to ponder and this might be the ideal moment to continue...

"True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing."
Pei Mei to Beatrix (Kill Bill V1)
Have you ever felt this before? Compared to me, you're as helpless as a worm fighting an eagle?
Yes.
That's the beginning. Is it your wish to possess this kind of power?
Yes.
Your training will begin tomorrow!
"Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up."
I like tht one, Jane!

Hi Barbara Todaro, the thought I have on this is it is just common sense and we all could save a lot of time and have a less stressful life if we just remembered this quote. Like how did the well known Mary Poppins Movie song lyric go, 'A Spoonful of Sugar': 'Just a Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down... in a most delightful way.'

Hi Lise Howe, it is amazing how easier and more so - how much fun life is when we live life in a philosophy where love and humility is the foundation.
Happy Sunday, Ron and Alexandra Seigel, that is a beautiful quote. - Reminds me of the biblical story of the good Samaritan.
Hi, Brian England, I can see we have some psychological sameness --- by looking at the quotes ActiveRain members choose, I feel closer to them; I feel I know my friends from around the 'Sandbox' just a little better. I can see going to the clubhouse and getting our Ping Pong paddles or Tennis Rackets to play games together. In my mind, Brian, I loose the tennis match to you every dang time. Ha ha ~ but I never mind as you are my very good friend. And I just love and laugh as you whip that little ball right past me. Hey, Brian, maybe if I stop laughing long enough and concentrate on hitting that ball back in your court, I might win a game or two; will try this... Hahahahaha.....

I might let you win a game, haha.
Hi Will Hamm, I like Zig Zigler also and choose many of his quotes in my posts. Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday, my friend. I love checking out your Monday and Thursday posts of quotes. I love seeing what you find important, interesting, enlightening.
Happy Sunday, Michael Jacobs, -- always easy to remember you as you give us so much to think about. To be 'Humble and Kind' is just one of the thoughts you might suggest we 'Ponder.'

To my dear Astrology compadre, Candice A. Donofrio, you are too funny and so is your comment response -- quote in which I had a good laugh: Pei Mei to Beatrix (Kill Bill V1)
Have you ever felt this before? Compared to me, you're as helpless as a worm fighting an eagle?...Your training will begin tomorrow.

Happy Monday to you, Bob Crane. The question I think of in regard to the Zig Zigler quote, is how anyone can even, ever, think that arrogance works for people when communicating with others.
James Dray, do you remember the Heaven we came from before we took the Spaceship to Planet Earth. I remember it and the great library and the big 'Book of Knowledge.' All you had to do is approach the book and it had all the learning and knowledge from forever to forever. I miss Heaven's great library and gladly welcome the learning others share. And when I remember Heaven's Great Book, I do know how much I do not know. Have a wonderful week, James.
Thank you very much, Jane, for sharing your excellent selection of quotes.
