You can up your SERPs on your blogs and webs doing one simple thing...

Well, maybe one or two simple things!

Google, Bing and Yahoo search are constantly scouring the web to see who has fresh content and who doesn't.  When something is altered or added to, you get some points for that.  The points can add up when you do it more often!

Adding a photo or retagging photos is one simple way of showing the algo-bots that you are alive and kicking.  It shows that content is changing and being refreshed.

Rewriting a few paragraphs or adding another few lines to any blog or written content also is a positive sign and will improve your ranking on  SERPS (Search Engine Result Pages)

Here is a bonus 'thing to do'.  In your blogs or webs, add hyperlinks from one page to OTHER relevant blogs and internal content on other pages.  Really helps your ranking!  Look at news web sites.  They all have hyperlinks to previous posts and related articles.  It's informative and offers relevant details.  Here is an example:

So if you are experiencing 'white space' (see Lottie Kendall's piece here), well you have something that you can do RIGHT NOW!!

Instead of fretting about and experiencing that blank look we seem to get when all things appear going to H E double hockeystick, you can do something productive!!  Beats that body freeze I've been getting lately worrying about everything!!

So start by going back to the very beginning of any blog history and start there.  That first old blog has certainly been forgotten, hasn't it?  Update some of your thinking, add a photo or two, insert a link to something else, and BINGO.  You have done something quite useful...

Do the same for your website and you will start noticing better traffic stats and up your chances that you will be found!

Hi John- Google does like fresh content but we don't have to reinvent the wheel each time we write.  With no sports to watch, you're right, now might be a good time to back to some of our older posts. Add our fresh thoughts to it or maybe a new perspective.

Morning John.

While I've heard about hyperlinks, I have no clue on how to do it.

What a great article, John. I have been working on my website lately and this is an implementable idea that will go a long way to sprucing things up as I've changed how posts are presented. Thank you!

Yes, Kathy Streib   Just a few strokes on previous posts and content is sufficient to make the SE's see that you are refreshing your sites.  Fresh thoughts and perspective are the main ingredients!  Thanks

Hi James Dray   Here's how to get a hyperlink to work on AR:  1. Find the page you want to link to and copy the url   2.  Go to the page and text where the link is going to be inserted.  Click the pencil icon located after last word of the title of the blog.  Drag your mouse to highlight the word or sentence you want to send the link out of 3. Click on the chain image in the format bar above your text body.  4. Paste the url link into the space provided and click on Publish in the orange bar at top right of your blog.

Hi Mimi Foster   The best thing is that... it's FREE!!!  No one to get in the way of your own time and effort.  Thank you and have a great productive time!

Hello Roy Kelley  Glad you were able to glean a bit of worthwhile advice here!
